JOHN S. CARTER:
John is the Commercial Lines Manager of the agency. He graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a B.A. in Business Administration and a Specialization in Insurance Real Estate in 1973. He obtained his licenses before graduation from college. Upon graduation he went to work for Carter and Company and First Federal Savings and Loan Association working for both entities at the same time. Several years later he went full time with the insurance agency. John is also a Realtor. He was married in 1985 and has two daughters. Contact john@cartercompany.comMILDRED "MILLIE" BELL, ACSR:
Millie has been with our agency since September 1982. She currently works in the Commercial Lines Department and has acquired her Insurance Solicitors License and the Accredited Customer Service Representative designation in commercial insurance. Millie and her husband have two sons and a daughter. Millie previously worked for The Travelers in Pennsylvania and Tucson Realty and Trust and then Fred S. James in Tucson, Arizona. Esther previously worked for Texas Windstorm Insurance Association for 8 years in the claims department before leaving after the birth of her second child in 1999. She came to Carter and Company in October of 2003. She is a commercial lines CSR with her Property & Casualty Solicitors License. Esther achieved her ACSR designation in 2004. Britnie serves as our general office assistant, helping with all aspects of our office including Commercial Lines. She will soon begin preparing for her ACSR accreditation. Britnie is 20 and lives at home with her parents and five siblings. Contact brit@cartercompany.comJOHNNY LEE SPRIGGS:
Johnny Lee is the newest employee at the agency. A graduate of Angelo State University, he is currently training and studying for his Accredited Customer Service Representative accreditation. CARL E. CARTER:
Carl is the Personal Lines Manager of the agency. He graduated from Texas A & M in 1977. Upon graduation he joined the family business and obtained his recording agents license and life insurance license. Anna has worked as a CSR in the Personal Lines Department off and on since July 1984 and currently has an Insurance Solicitors License. Donna has worked in Personal Lines since July 1995. Before that she served as our receptionist. She has been with the agency since April 1995. Liz graduated from Luling High School in May of 1993. She attended ITT Tech and graduated with an associate's degree in June 1995. Liz worked in retail for more than 7 years. She came to work for Carter & Company after the birth of her second child. Liz achieved her Accredited Customer Service Representative certificate in 2005 and obtained her Solicitor's License in April of 2006. She is married and has 3 children. RICHARD A. CARTER:
Rick specializes in life, health and group medical insurance lines. Rick graduated from Texas A & M in 1974 with a degree in Business Administration with a specialization in finance. Upon graduation he entered the U.S. Army and served in Germany for 3 years. After leaving active duty in 1978, he joined Carter and Company. He later resigned from the Army Reserve with the rank of Captain. Rick is active in his church and has been active in many political and civic organizations. BERNADETTE MOORE:
Bernadette has worked for our agency since May, 1977 as bookkeeper. Prior to this, she was employed in the bookkeeping dept. for an Austin insurance agency. Bernadette and her husband have two daughters, two granddaughters, and one grandson. Contact bernadette@cartercompany.com
PAM CARTER:
Pam worked for Carter and Company in Personal Lines from 1981 until the birth of her second child in 1983. In 1997, she returned on a part-time basis. She now serves as Systems Administrator and is webmaster for the agency web site. Pam is married to Richard A. Carter and is the mother of 5 children and grandmother to 2 granddaughters. JACK E. CARTER
Jack Carter, son of the founder M.H. Carter, passed away in November of 2000 after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Carter, and three sons, John, Richard and Carl, all active in the agency. Jack graduated from Texas A & M University and joined the agency immediately after returning from active duty during World War II in Europe and the Philippines. In 1948 he was made a partner in the agency and was continuously active in the agency until his death. He was active in many civic organizations and his church as well as having served as a director of two financial institutions.
